This is pretty easy to control.
Revit roof from line.
Easier than the previous method.
Select the wall type and constraints for a dormer that will be added to a roof.
Add a dormer to a roof and use the dormer opening tool to cut the opening for it.
Create the dormer roof and join it to the main roof.
First activate add split line and draw the lines like below.
You might prefer to use the add split line tool which create points at intersections.
Click on each roof edge line to change the linetype.
Select the desired linetype from the line style type selector.
On the properties palette specify a value for number of full segments.
This shape editing tools will not appear if you define the roof slope.
1 remove slope to create flat roof.
Select the linework tool in the view panel on the home ribbon.

If a roof includes a slope defining arc line or circle it creates a conical roof.
In the image below you can see the lines that i ve changed on the left.
Create the roof opening and finish the dormer.
In the drawing area select the arc line.
Revit displays the modify linework contextual ribbon.

With this line style selected all i need to do is click on each line that i want to apply this style to which is all the lines that make up the perimeter of the roof boundary.
