Removed Carpet Now Door Is Too Short

The flooring is hardwood also i do not have central air heat.

Removed carpet now door is too short.

A couple of plinth blocks will take up the slack. That or replace the whole door and trim. Don t throw your doors into a landfill after a floor remodel because they are too short. The door jamb and molding are now too short.

My question can the jamb somehow be repaired. Sometimes carpenters can fill that space in with wood and since its painted it would hide the fact that its a sliver of wood down there. With wood filler that can be sanded and painted perhaps. I had the same problem on a few doors when i had the carpeting removed and laminate installed.
